There is going to be even more of an “American Idol” presence at the 2011 American Country Awards then we first originally expected.

After previously finding out that Scotty McCreery was nominated for an award on the Fox ceremony (which will air in December), we also now know that both he and his season ten runner-up Lauren Alaina will be in attendance for the big show. As for other “Idol” connections, both Kelly Clarkson (as a part of a duet with Jason Aldean) and Carrie Underwood are nominated for some awards.

Last year, Carrie ran away with the vast majority of the trophies — a fitting introduction to a show airing on the same network that made her famous. Kristin Chenoweth and Trace Adkins are expected to host this show, which is sure to make more than a few fans of the genre excited.

Are you happy that both Scotty and Lauren will be there?
